The pictures you put in your pro home staging portfolio are among the most significant footage you’ll ever take.

Your portfolio is used to show your potential clients what a proficient home stager you are and whoever is taking a look at it is expecting dramatic transformations to explain making an investment in your house staging services. Even great home stagers can belittle their portfolios ( and in turn their own image ) by simply not having the basic digital photography abilities to make their footage great. A great photograph will force folks to have a look at it as it claims something. It should be well lit, straight, in focus, engaging and freed from distracting details.

The following pointers should improve the standard of your photos significantly : Think before you shoot.

make an effort to line up some practice shots in your house and experiment with shooting the same image from marginally different angles, with and not with the flash, with the lights off and on, with or without a wide-angle lens, and even try standing on a chair or ladder to discover how the shot will turn out. Before shooting your image, make detailed notes to remind you what you probably did. When you load the photographs on your personal computer and take a look at your notes you can compare what they seem like on screen and when theyre made public. Do not move after targeting or while you are shooting the image – move into position before you shoot and stay still. If you can change the resolution setting, put it on the highest or next to highest setting and see what size the image will be.

( Youll use more memory at higher resolutions, so get a bigger memory card or maybe a 2nd one so you wont be stuck with inadequate memory when youre on your shoot. ) you’ll get a snappier more detailed image at higher resolutions, and you can always scale back the resolution later.

If an image is shot at a low resolution originally, you cant make it higher later. This is a difficulty if you would like to make an outlined image bigger or if you want to deliver photographs to the media.
